I’ll have to admit, I was pretty nervous, becasue 12.09 is was the most competitive Thursday that I can remember (Phrequency had their 2 year anniversary party, Night Train’s final ride, and DJ Excel visiting the Mo Money Mo Problems, and DJ Sat One launched his weekly gig at Whisper Club), but thankfully we had a great plan and even greater crowd that came out.
The best way to separate our party from the others was music. We played what we loved to play, and everyone loved it. The night was almost completely full of electro and tech house with moombahton and even a few dubstep tracks thrown in the mix, and I’d have to say “it was Kinda Fucking Awesome.”
Deejay Sylo turned out to be so much of the right choice, that instead of being a special guest, we upgraded him to a member of the team. Somehow he brought an even more refreshing and energetic edge to a party that is already refreshing and energetic to begin with. Adub, was well, Adub, and his sets were getting wilder and wilder, perhaps as he get drunker and drunker, but no matter how drunk Adub gets, his crowd is always off the wall just and bit more wild. And, of course, I was killing it up there too. It came to a point when all 3 of us were on stage, joined by DJ C-Sharp, and we were jumping back and forth. We all played what we love to play, so the energy and enthusiasm came right through us in into our music, and the crowd ate it up.
