I know that I already posted for a party at Derek’s in Manayunk. But that last posting was a generic party flyer I designed for them to insert into their checkbooks (when customers are ready to pay their food tabs).

This post is for my party on Friday Nights at Derek’s.

About 4 years ago, before I went to Europe for a year to DJ, I popped “Derek’s cherry” for the music nightlife scene. Things started off slow but grew to a huge party with chicks dancing on couches smeared up against a fogged up window over looking DT Manayunk.

Since I left, upstairs had changed. The vibe, the demographics due to probably the changes in economy (who knows), but the bottom line is, I here for the long haul, to help breath life back into this awesome joint. Cuz, lets face it, I would have never gotten ALL the other gigs I got in Philly and AC if it werent for that spot Derek’s. It was the place that kinda started it all for me.

Unfortunately this time, I can’t nurture the weekend and orchestrate both nights to help rebrand the spot.

But I do have full autonomy of one night. And that’s Fridays.

This is the reason for the party flyer post… To letchall’ know what I’ll be doing on Fridays and where to find me and that we’re gonna do it right this time.

This Sunday, May 20th from 12p-4p, We’re doing an awesome Brunch Party in Old City at Marmont. As if their food for lunch & dinners weren’t already bangin enough, Marmont is adding some breakfast items to the menu for the occasion, not to mention a KILLER DRINK SPECIAL >> UNLIMITED >> MAMOSAS & BLOODY MARY’S!!

Where do I come in?? I’ll be supplying the music.

Now for most of us, its gonna be a day that we’re going to be getting over the hangover from Saturday night’s festivities, which means the music I’ll be playing will be smooth, electronic, funky, hip, non aggressive, summer-y, chilled out relaxed vibe for a good portion of the afternoon, in which I will pick up the energy a lil bit later after the food has digested and the unlimited mamosas and bloody mary’s start making you reminisce of the parties you were at the past couple nights.

So, granted… if you don’t over sleep, GET UP  and come to Marmont and help that headache with a lil bit of the “hair of the dog that bitcha” and some really awesome food… & music.

BELOW is a track I put together this past Thursday… afterwards I went partying on Penn’s campus that night and found my self at “The Pitt” and ended up having a 4some til the buttcrack of dawn. Pretty crazy, huh?! shiiiit, I still can’t believe it. This song and my night went hand in hand and I hope the same works for you; if not, some denomination.

I’m back at Derek’s, but this time with a new steez. I’ll be spinning hiphop some oldschool throwbacks along with some underground flavored house and some production I’ve been working on.

If you havent been there, the place is mad intimate and a cool little nook to escape the manayunk norm. So if you’re feeling a little adventurous, make ur way upstairs and lets jam out…
